The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is responsible for the efficient and sustainable management of fish resources on behalf of the Australian community. For over 20 years Dr Prince has variously chaired stock assessment committees, acted as a scientific member on management advisory committees, undertaken direct consultancies and research projects.
CSIRO is Australia’s national science agency and primary provider of fisheries assessment advice to AFMA. Dr Prince is often used by CSIRO to help steer and advise large complex research projects involving marine ecosystem modeling, fisheries assessment and harvest strategy development.
Environmental Defense Fund is a North American environmental non-government organization committed to the application of market based approaches to environmental issues, including catch shares for fisheries. Dr Prince’s consultancies have advised its on Australian experience with market based fisheries management, and provide advice and analysis about California fisheries.
